LEAD Metro North Class of 2023
Westminster, CO – Adams County Regional Economic Partnership (AC-REP) is excited to announce the newest class of 2022-2023 LEAD Metro North program.
The LEAD Metro North program is celebrating its 40th year. It provides participants with leadership training and skills needed to become more informed and engaged citizens. Through these leadership development courses, participants learn more about industries in the Greater Adams County region, the inputs to our regional economy, and ideally, build relationships with key community leaders.
“Building community leaders is important to our local economy,” said Lisa Hough, President & CEO of AC-REP. “Having informed citizens who know more about the issues and challenges in our region can help develop solutions for our future.”
This year’s class represents a multitude of industries spanning from the financial sector to education, energy to local government, healthcare, and more. “The diversity of this class is a wonderful representation of our great county. It’s important that we help support and develop leaders that will impact all facets of our region,” said Becky Smith, LEAD Metro North Advisory Board Chair.
Since 1986, the Metro North Leadership programs have informed and educated more than 1,800 alumni leaders who support the program via the Leadership Alumni Board (LAB) and mentor participants during the program.
LEAD Metro North is made possible because of generous supporters and investors, like Adolfson & Peterson Construction and U.S. Engineering. This year, with the support of Adams County, AC-REP was able to provide scholarships to applicants from non-profits, local government and small community businesses.
“Developing leaders is a top priority for us at AC-REP. We are thrilled to have the support of investors and Adams County to be able to welcome the next generation of leaders who will take the Greater Adams County region to the next level.” Continued Hough.
