Adams County Regional Economic Partnership Hosts State of the Region Summit Spotlighting Innovation, Demographic Trends, and Community Successes

The Half-day Summit Featured Presentations from the Adams County Chair, Futurist, State Demographer and Industry Experts from Across the Region

AC-REP expanded its annual State of the Region event to showcase the Gamechangers that drive the economic vitality of the Adams County region. Attendees heard from dynamic keynote speakers throughout the event, including Adams County Commissioner and Chair Emma Pinter, Futurist Chet Sisk, and State Demographer Elizabeth Garner.

The Summit featured two separate panels highlighting the strengths, challenges, and opportunities for Adams County. Speakers from three major regional projects – Amprius, Meati, and Waste Connections – shared their experiences working in the region and why they chose Adams County to expand and grow their businesses. The second panel featured experts from Norris Design, Peak Development Group, and Evergreen DevCo who discussed how their teams have addressed water, housing, and urban planning challenges.

Additionally, multiple communities and organizations hosted tables in the Expo area to share specifics about economic development opportunities, workforce programs, and community investments.

“We were excited to expand this year’s event so attendees had the opportunity to get a comprehensive look at what makes our region economically vital, innovative and what’s in store as it grows,” said Lisa Hough, President/CEO of AC-REP. “The main takeaway is that like all Colorado communities, the Greater Adams County Region faces many challenges, but the future is bright, and we will continue to be a leader in expanding economic opportunity in our county.”
