South Adams County Water and Sanitation District Manager Abel Moreno

Abel Moreno is the District Manager for South Adams County Water and Sanitation District (SACWSD). Mr. Moreno has served in this role since December 2021. Prior to that time, Mr. Moreno was the Distribution, Collection & Development Manager for SACWSD since 2014.

Mr. Moreno reports to a 5-member Board of Directors elected by the ratepayers of the District and oversees five departments including Distribution, Collections & Development; Finance; Information Technology/ Information Services; Wastewater Systems; and Water Systems.

Mr. Moreno holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. Mr. Moreno has spent nearly 30 years in the water industry.

SACWSD serves the City of Commerce City and parts of unincorporated Adams County over a 65-square-mile service area. SACWSD is the largest combined water and sewer district in the state of Colorado.
