Karen Widomski - Long Range Planning Manager, City of Thornton
Karen Widomski is the Long Range Planning Manager for the City of Thornton. She has experience working in both international development and local government and has spent the past 20 years focused on long-range city planning issues and comprehensive planning. Karen holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from University of Denver.
Lori Hight, AICP, is a Senior Planner for the City of Thornton with a demonstrated history of working in government administration and city planning. She is skilled in land development, sustainable development, government planning, and community services. Lori holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
Bill Aiken - Deputy Director, Community & Economic Development for Adams County
Ben Fulton - Development Policy Analyst for the Adams County Community and Economic Development Department
Bill Aiken is a dedicated leader with extensive experience in driving remarkable outcomes in community, economic, and real estate development within both the public and private sectors. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia he and his family relocated to Colorado in 2021.
Bill joined Adams County as the Deputy Director of Community and Economic Development in June 2024. Most recently, he served as the Director of Urban Renewal for the City of Commerce City. In this role, Bill oversaw the City's revitalization efforts including the administration, coordination, and management of all urban renewal projects and activities.
Ben Fulton has served as the Development Policy Analyst for the Adams County Community and Economic Development Department since April 2024. Prior to joining the county, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Public Sector Consultants. In this role, he led multi-disciplinary teams in the design and execution of public policy research, evaluation, and implementation projects, primarily for local and state governments across the country. Ben previously served in other public and nonprofit sector policy roles, including as a Senior Associate for State Policy at the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative in Washington, DC. In this position, he managed the initiative’s work focused on increasing the use of data, technology, and cost-benefit analysis in government decision-making in multiple counties and states. Ben received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and his MPA with a concentration in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri.
