The Regional Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) Group will convene on February 11, 2026, for a focused discussion on power infrastructure, emerging technologies, and their long-term implications for business growth in Adams County.
The meeting will begin with insights from Melissa Almond, Corporate Economic Development Manager, and Nathan Steele, Major Metro Area Manager with Xcel Energy, who will address emerging technologies, evolving large-load considerations, capacity challenges, and the infrastructure planning required to support future development.
The conversation will continue with Brian Blehm, Strategic Relationships Director at United Power, who will share perspectives on power-related issues impacting local businesses, including key considerations for expansion, growth planning, and system reliability.
The session will conclude with a group discussion, allowing members to ask questions, share observations from the field, and explore how power capacity and planning intersect with business retention and expansion efforts across the region.
